Custom embroidery

Words and logos,
stitched not printed

Embroidery survives the washing machine, the beach and the dog park. It's the difference between a product that looks personalized and one that stays personalized.

What goes on the goods

Four kinds of work

Most orders are one of these. If yours doesn't fit, describe it anyway — the machine doesn't care.

Pet names

Single word or short phrase. Sized so it reads across a collar band without crowding the edge.

Phone numbers

Contact stitching instead of a dangling tag. We test legibility at the finished size before bulk.

Brand logos

Your mark as thread. Digitised once, reused on every future order at no extra setup cost.

Monograms & motifs

Initials, small icons, seasonal patterns — good for gift lines and subscription boxes.

The stitching itself

Satin, fill, or a mix

Letters and thin outlines are usually satin stitch — dense, glossy, sharp edges. Larger solid shapes get fill stitch, which stays flat and doesn't pull the fabric. Small mixed designs use both.

We'll tell you when artwork is too fine for the finished size, rather than stitch something that turns into a blur after two washes.

  • Thread color matched to your reference, or to a stock shade card
  • Backing chosen for the fabric so the stitching doesn't pucker
  • Density tested on the actual material before production
  • Digitising file kept on our side — repeat orders skip the setup
Artwork

What to send

Better artwork means a faster proof. If all you have is a photo, send it — we'll tell you what's possible.

Ideal

Vector files — AI, EPS, PDF, or SVG with live paths. Cleanest edges, fastest digitizing.

Workable

High-resolution PNG or JPG on a plain background. We'll redraw the outline where needed.

Enough to start

A photo of your existing product, or even a description. We'll come back with a proof to react to.

FAQ

The questions that come up first

How small can text be?

It depends on the thread and the fabric. On a collar band, a name usually sits comfortably at a readable size; phone numbers need more room. We test the real size on a sample and send you a photo.

Does the embroidery survive washing?

Stitched thread outlasts printing. We choose backing and density for the material so the stitching doesn't fray or pull the fabric after repeated washing.

Can each unit have a different name?

Yes — that's the point of personalized goods. Individual names within one order are handled as a name list, so every piece comes out labeled for the right buyer.

Do you keep my logo file?

We keep the digitised version so repeat orders don't pay setup again. It isn't used for anyone else's goods.

Can I see a sample before ordering bulk?

Yes. New designs are sampled and photographed for approval before the production run starts.

Send the artwork, get a proof

Attach a logo or a photo of the name you want stitched. We'll reply with a per-piece price and a visual proof.
